Rica em recursos marinhos, que se consubstanciam na fauna marinha e uma diversidade de peixes (garoupa, serra, carapau, sardinha, pedra, corvinas, atum branco e vermelh\u00e3o), crust\u00e1ceos (lagosta, camar\u00e3o, caranguejo) e moluscos (lulas, chocos, am\u00eaijoa e polvos), tornam esta faixa mar\u00edtima um grande potencial para a actividade pesqueira industrial.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>O sector de pesca tem um peso importante na cria\u00e7\u00e3o de empregos nas zonas costeiras.
